So for anyone who’s fixing up their dwelling too ends up redoing something or changing directions or pivoting months or years subsequently… fixing upwardly a family is rarely without curveballs (especially when presented with novel data or a ameliorate approach to something yous’ve been trying to solve). As for our mini-split experience, we aren’t really against them at all – particularly if they’re correctly sized (we hear the humidity/dripping upshot we had is by and large caused when the organisation is oversized together with cycles down or turns off all the time). But when it comes to a 1400 sf home with six rooms, it feels not bad to run ane fundamental air system immediately versus as well running two mini-splits together with an external fan on tiptop of that (all 3 of those items are at once gone!). And alone having to hold & service ane organisation feels bully as well, peculiarly since our drippy mini-splits led to quite a few service calls. Note: it’second cardinal to trust your HVAC pro – we institute someone with 25+ years of feel together with he was sure this approach would function later getting to know our house extremely well over many (many) service calls.
